St Mary's 5K

(Go Aunt Amanda, "slow as a snail")
(Go Uncle Ed, "fast as a cheetah")
Carter came up with these cheering themes.

We ran in a local road race in Canandaigua. Edward left me in the dust, as most of this race was an uphill journey. Christine- I think next year is your year to win a medal. Good job everyone!!!

Kiddos

Dear Christine and John,
Here are some snapshots from the kids stay in Buffalo. Man, we packed in a lot of activities while they were here with Grammie, Pappa, Uncle Ed and I...Explore & More, snacks, playtime, snacks, ice cream stop, Erie County Fair, a meltdown or two, more snacks, playground, Movie in the Park, snacks, and a sleepover. Yikes, having a 5 year old and 2 year old is exhausting...they don't stop. Thank god for naptime (Carter and I took one together two days in a row!). It was great having them here. Lilah has such a silly personality...she cracks me up (and herself). Her little voice is just adorable. Carter is like a sponge soaking up everything he does, he is so curious and remembers EVERYTHING. He is so loving and appreciates all that we do together. They were really good and we had lots of fun. We are all resting up for our babysitting duties next week. Miss you all!!!

Love,
Aunt Manda

P.S. Grammie said I better not wait to0 long to have kids, because her and Pappa are gonna be too old to do this. I guess Molly is out of luck...haha.

I tackled Explore & More with the both of them all by myself.
Lilah didn't want to leave the construction zone. Maybe she'll take over C. E. Watson Construction someday. She was here most of the time painting the wood and wearing her "cape" (that's what she kept calling the vest).
Waiting patiently for the piggie races.
Grammie and I were pooped after our day at the fair.
Piggie #2 won (which was our pig). Her name was "Sarah Jessica Porker." Hehe.
The kids sitting up in the caboose of one the trains on display.
There were LOTS of moo moo cows at the fair. We were there so early that the farmers' cots were still out. I had NO IDEA they slept right in the barns with the cows. I could never be a farmer.
This old man in the conservation building loved Lilah...and she of course loved the soft furs.
Antique tractor display. Carter and Lilah both picked this green one as their favorite.

*Sorry I have no pictures from the Movie in the Park. Carter and I had a great date night together though.

Happy Birthday Dad

Kicked off the day with a birthday breakfast feast...steak, ham & eggs, toast, bagels, and singing happy birthday before digging into the donuts. Still lookin' sharp, Dad!!! Love you!!!

Park Parties

Edward and I had a party-hearty weekend at two local parks. Both were great parties with some yummy BBQ and sweets.

Erin was married at the top of the hill at Chesnut Ridge Park. Check out that gorgeous view! What a perfect spot to say their vows.

We also spent the day at Como Park for Steve's 30th. Another one to join the Thirty Club!

I Gotta Feeling

...that tonight's gonna be a good night. The girls had a "Fergalicious" time at the Black Eyed Peas concert. Being a big fan of all their songs, Edward and I came out to "Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night" when we were announced at our wedding reception. The Black Eyed Peas closed the concert with it (YEAH!) and of course there was some "Boom Boom Pow!"

Weekend Rewind

A little grub from above. Dogs, and shared fries & shake.
A little hiking at Emery Park. So woodsy and peaceful.
A little homemade pizza making. Whole wheat crust and veggies from the farmer's market. This one was pepperlicious.
A little closet remodeling. It doesn't look like much now, but it will look nice!
