Fisher-Price Toys

Every holiday season, Fisher-Price puts out their toys and decorates their headquarters with tons of lights.  It was a mild Sunday afternoon so we decided to get some fresh air and take a walk over there so Henry could see them.  He was at the tail end of a virus, going a little stir crazy from being cooped up and just not himself.  That said, he had fun walking around looking at them, but he wasn't so thrilled about smiling for the camera.  Driving past it all lit up at night is a wonderful sight.

Christmas Tree 2013

We picked out our Christmas tree this weekend and Henry had a ball helping us pick one out at the tree lot.  We go to the same place every year a few miles down the road from us.  He loved running through the trees and picking up the pine cones on the ground.  It took us a while, but we finally decided on the perfect tree for our house! We started to decorate it together, but then Henry lost interest so I finished it on my own.  He likes all the lights on it and turning them on and off.

Festive

Henry helped put up the Christmas tree in his room.  He was so sweet and careful with each of the ornaments when we put them on his tree. We've started wearing Christmas jammies & shirts, reading Christmas books from the Christmas basket, taking off links from our Christmas countdown chain (made by Grammie) and picking a surprise from the advent calendar! So many fun things to pack in just a few short weeks! I love this time of year and so far he is loving it too! Happy December :-).

Thanksgiving

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!  Such a great time and so much good food.  We loved having our parents and Molly over.  There was a little "turkey anxiety," but the bird ended up tasting delicious, and we had no problem filling our bellies.  We have so much to be thankful for this year, and my husband puts it best:  "We don't have everything we want, but we have everything we need."  He's so right, and sometimes I need to be reminded of that.

After dinner and dessert we spent the night relaxing on the couch, checking out the ads and playing with Henry.  Then it was time to get our Christmas on! We played a Christmas song game (compliments of my mother), Henry rocked his Santa jammies for the first time and we watched Christmas Vacation!!!
