A Thankful Thanksgiving

What a Thanksgiving we had! Definitely a little different from the usual dinner we've hosted at our house the last two years. We came home from the hospital in the afternoon, settled in with our comfy clothes on and snuggled with our little turkey.
So here I go...I'm gonna get a little emotional on everyone (it's the hormones....I apologize). I am so thankful for Henry and that he is healthy. He is just perfect. Words can't even describe how he makes me feel. I have so much love for this little person, it's insane. I love him to pieces already. I could just stare at him all day and give him kisses from head to toe. He has brought so much joy to me in just the short amount of time he's been here... even when being a mom has been overwhelming and difficult. Every moment so far has been amazing. I am thankful for Edward and how supportive and helpful he was throughout labor and delivery and our first few nights with Henry. I couldn't have gotten through everything without him. I am also thankful for being surrounded with our wonderful families and friends. I am so LUCKY!!!

Coming Home

We got discharged Thanksgiving afternoon. Henry was a hit with the all the nurses in his Turkey Day outfit! When word got out that there was a little turkey on his butt, they all came in our room to check him out. He slept the whole way home and I of course sat with him in the back of the Prius. As we pulled up to our house, it was decked out in blue decorations by my mom and sister. It was good to finally come home as a family of three!!!

Patiently waiting to get discharged...
We're home!!!
I made it home in one piece!!!

Hurd Orchard

We headed back to Hurd Orchard this year for another Thanksgiving Tasting. Both sets of parents joined us too. The food was once again "tremendous" and "phenomenal" (we heard these words repeated several times at our table). What a great evening!!!
