January

Oh January... the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is over and we usually just spend a lot of time at home together.  It's been cold and snowy here.  Other than Henry's weekly gym class, going to Grammie's house on Friday and the occasional sunny, mid 30 degree day Henry has been cooped up in the house.  We have a weekly library class staring in February so that will be another opportunity to get him out of the house for a bit.  As winter marches on and I cuddle underneath blankets on the couch I am thinking about all the things on our "wishlist" for this summer.  Henry will be 18 months at the end of May, which means this summer will be so fun and loaded with many new activities we couldn't do last summer.  I'm looking forward to swimming, beach trips, the playground, family bike rides and more!  We booked a summer family vacation to Bethany Beach, Delaware and I am excited just thinking about it!  Until then, though, we still have some long winter months ahead of us... Here's what January has looked like for us.

Play Date

Henry got together with his buddy Jackson and it was the first time these two actually played and interacted.  They are only a week a part, but Jackson has always been developmentally way ahead of Henry (Jackson was was walking at 8 months and Henry wasn't fully crawling until 11 months.) Now that they're toddlers and Henry's walking it was so cute to see them together.  I love how in the first three pictures at the windows you can see the stages of them warming up to one another....

Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

I have to give a shout out to my wonderful hubby for fixing the blog.  Blogger would not let me upload any photos.  For several weeks Edward did a lot of investigating and a lot of fiddling around with things... until he finally solved the problem.  YAY!!!  Now she's up and running again and I am finally caught up on my blogging... YIPPEE!!! It took a lot of time on his end and I know it was the last thing he wanted to be doing, but he knows how much I love doing this and he was determined to get it fixed.  I love having a way to document all moments - big and small - in our life.  So from the bottom of my heart...

Thank you Edward!
I love you...xoxo

Snow

We hat lots of snow over Christmas Break.  Henry went outside and played in it several times. We played in our yard, pulled him around in his sled through the village streets and even took him sledding down a little hill at the park near our house. He absolutely loved it and was squealing with delight!!!

Happy New Year

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year!

Our New Year's Eve was pretty low key.  I had plans to make a fancy lobster dinner, but Henry was sick with a nasty virus (herpangina...aka Hand, Foot & Mouth disease) so making dinner was out of the question when all he wanted to do was be held.  My poor baby had a fever, sores in his mouth (which made him not want to eat anything), cried a lot and was just out of it.  Instead we settled for crab cakes and some appetizers (which were still delicious) and I cuddled with my boys on the couch.
