Daycare

Henry survived his first month of daycare.  It came with some ups and downs (and two days of sickness) along the way, but things are going so much better than they did that first week back in September.  The director has been awesome and emails us daily updates and pictures of Henry.  There were many grumpy/sad faces in the beginning, but now there are some smiles.
We had his Open House tonight and even though it's only daycare, it was great to spend the evening in his room looking at everything and talking to his teachers, which by the way are FANTASTIC!  We've been blessed with two great teachers who already adore Henry. Henry is Miss Mandy's (the teacher assistant) little buddy.  She held him and cuddled him those first few days (I don't think she was able to put him down all day) and he was attached to her side the first few weeks.  He's just started venturing away from her to play with other kids or by himself.
I have to say, since Henry's started at daycare I've seen a huge language increase, he's gotten better with eating utensils, and is starting to take an interest in the potty from seeing other kids in his room use it.  He's gotten used to the daily routine and there are little things he does at home now that he's learned at daycare that are so stinkin' cute!  Hopefully things continue trending upward!
