After leaving the city this past August to move out to East Aurora, we have since neglected it. You see, Edward and I met in the city, fell in love in the city, got engaged in the city, got married in the city...started a life together in the city. We had our favorite streets (which we walked countless times), favorite restaurants, favorite bars, favorite shops, and favorite "Amanda & Edward" spots. It was sad to leave, but we knew we would be making a new life together in East Aurora.
Edward and I made a date to spend our Saturday in the Elmwood Village. It had been way too long since we had been there. We bundled up so that we could enjoy Elmwood and some holiday shopping under the stars - the way it used to be! We strolled along, arm in arm and had a perfect evening together taking in the all too familiar sights and sounds. We even purchased some lovely Christmas presents for friends and family!
We have made a promise to go back to the city once a month for a date...it's only 20 minutes away for heaven's sake! And even though we miss the city, our life here in the village is perfect. We now have our "favorites" here and we look forward to staying here for many years to come!
